Carers of East Lothian (CoEL)

December 1, 2014

Carers of East Lothian (CoEL) works across East Lothian providing support for people who look after friends and family members. We support carers via access to information, emotional support, short breaks, counselling, advice re health, community care service and finance and benefits. We are also unique in having a carer support worker embedded in the CMHT.

Reason for applying to DiH

Our website is tired, static and fails to act as a portal to engage with carers and the public.

Outcome

carers of east lothian new servicesDigital Inclusion for Health allowed Carers of East Lothian the opportunity to not just get a new website but to rethink our communication and marketing strategy we took the opportunity to refresh our branding  and update some of our IT , we now have a flexible website that  looks great, is much easier to update and will attract more carers and young carers extending our reach. The positive support we received from DIH made a real difference to the process.
